LEG 7 — PHILADELPHIA'S LAST YELLOW JET (KPHL → KMZJ) Philadelphia → Marana/Pinal Airpark Mission: Ferry another repossessed Spirit Airbus directly from Philadelphia into Arizona storage.

📖 One Final Crossing Pushback becomes its own problem.

Some ground-service companies don't want unpaid bills connected to a bankrupt airline.

Nomadic pays where necessary.

Eventually the tug arrives.

The yellow Airbus begins moving backward from the gate.

Imagine standing inside the terminal watching it.

Spirit logos still cover the airplane.

Spirit's yellow paint still shines beneath the ramp lights.

But there is no Spirit flight number on the departure board.

The airplane taxis away.

It will not return.

The flight west is quiet enough that every cockpit sound becomes noticeable.

Switches.

Fans.

Airflow.

Radio calls.

Two pilots where hundreds of passengers once sat.

Then Arizona appears.

At Pinal Airpark near Marana, the scale of the collapse becomes visible.

More yellow aircraft are arriving.

Arizona's dry climate makes locations such as Marana and Goodyear useful for aircraft storage because low humidity helps reduce corrosion while owners determine whether airplanes will be sold, leased again, parted out or remain stored.

Another engine shuts down.

Another yellow tail joins the line.
