You're not going south yet.

Your dispatcher changes the manifest.

There's another village waiting.

The box isn't impressive.

Maybe thirty pounds.

But somebody has called twice asking whether it made the flight.

Inside is a replacement component needed for heating equipment.

Now the weather outside is well below freezing.

Suddenly thirty pounds of cargo feels important.

You secure it personally.

Flying inland, the terrain changes again. Mountains rise around river valleys while the endless western coastline disappears behind you.

Ambler emerges ahead.

After landing, someone is waiting specifically for that box.

They grab it.

Thank you.

And they're gone.

No ceremony.

Tomorrow a building will be warm again.

That's bush flying.
