The Twelve Apostles

Official achievement authored by Clorix.

The Twelve Apostles badge

Briefing

The Twelve Apostles are comprised of rock formations called limestone stacks along the coast of Victoria, Australia. Seven of the eight original stacks still stand after one of them collapsed in July of 2005. These limestone stack formations are created by erosion.

While this achievement technically only requires that you fly from YWBL (Warrnambool) to YMAV (Avalon), we highly recommend you follow the coastline eastward toward the destination. Along the coast, not only will you find this achievement's namesakes, but you can also find many other interesting points of interest, including the Bay of Islands, the Loch Ard Gorge, and the Split Point Lighthouse, to name just a few. If you're completing this flight for the sightseeing as well as the achievement, we recommend flying along the coast between 500' to 2000' MSL to get the best views, but that is not a requirement to complete the achievement.

We have also included a Little Navmap flight plan you can use if you want to check out the sights!

Note: This achievement was created in celebration of the Microsoft Flight Simulator World Update 7 - Australia release, but you may complete the flight in any simulator of your choice!
