Visit the most remote airport in the world, Mataveri Airport. Located on Easter Island in the South Pacific Ocean, Mataveri Airport is considered to be the most remote airport in the world due to the nearest commercial airport being over 2,000nm away in Santiago, Chile! You will not be required to make such a long journey, but you’re more than welcome to do so if you wish! Instead, you may wish to simply take off from Mataveri and fly around the island to take in its sights before returning to the airport.
