Tour Description
Some tours celebrate places.
Some tours celebrate history.
This tour celebrates a life.
In June 2026, Chernair lost one of its own.
Many of us knew him simply as Goose.
Whether you flew with him regularly or only crossed paths occasionally, he was part of the story of Chernair. Like many of us, he shared a passion for aviation, a love of exploring the world from above, and a willingness to spend countless hours in virtual skies alongside friends from around the globe.
Born in Gibraltar, Goose's life carried him across continents long before many of us ever met him. His childhood took him through Penang, Singapore, Cyprus, and the United Kingdom, giving him a unique perspective on the world and a lifetime of stories. He served his country in the British Armed Forces, deploying to Kabul, Afghanistan in 2004 and Basrah, Iraq in 2007. Later, he married the love of his life at the historic Imperial War Museum Duxford before retiring to Sandy, Bedfordshire.
This memorial tour follows the major locations that shaped his journey. It is not intended as a military tour, nor simply a sightseeing trip. It is a remembrance flight—a chance to visit the places that helped define a remarkable life and to reflect on the people we meet along our own journeys.
Today we fly not to complete a mission.
Today we fly to remember a friend.
