| Remarks: | Flown with Fliggity and crew for Leg 22 of their "Great Basin" achievement. Smooth flight weather-wise. However, I did experience a failure during the flight. I noticed an annunciator lit up saying "LEFT FUEL LOW". I thought that was weird because I know I fueled up for tonight's flights. The right fuel gauge was showing a normal fuel level reading, but the left was showing it was low or empty. There's no way I know of to verify fuel level in the Caravan, so I popped open the sim's weight and balance menu and sure enough, I only had 2-3% of fuel in the left tank. Well then! I checked the Black Square Caravan's failures page on the weather radar and sure enough, there was a "L FUEL LEAK" failure active! I cleared the failure and refueled that tank mid-flight (as you do) and continued on. I love aircraft that have random failures like that. Keeps sim pilots on their toes! |
