Dangerous Approaches: Madeira

Briefing

Located in the Atlantic Ocean west of Morocco, Madeira (LPMA) is one of the most dangerous airports to fly into. This in part due to the large mountain that pilots fly in very close proximity to (and even towards!) when approaching Runway 05. It's also in part due to there being a sheer drop off at either end of the runway and typically quite strong winds from the ocean side of the approach.

Criteria

Depart from an airport of your choice, fly to and land at LPMA, your flight distance must be further than 30 NM. Your landing rate must not exceed 200 f/m.

This achievement is considered common, 100.0% of eligible pilots have completed this achievement.
