Briefing

Bora Bora is a small South Pacific island northwest of Tahiti in French Polynesia. Surrounded by sand-fringed motus (islets) and a turquoise lagoon protected by a coral reef, it’s known for its scuba diving.

Bora Bora is a major international tourist destination, famous for its seaside (and even offshore) luxury resorts. The major settlement, Vaitape, is on the western side of the main island, opposite the main channel leading into the lagoon. Produce of the island is mostly limited to what can be obtained from the sea and from the plentiful coconut trees, which were historically of economic importance for the production of copra. At the island's center rises Mt. Otemanu, a 727m dormant volcano.

Due to the size of the runway on Bora Bora and, as many passengers to the island would have experienced in the past, there isn't any direct commercial (jetliner) flights to the island of Bora Bora and therefore you will first make your way in an aircraft of your choice to Tahiti (NTAA) before switching aircraft to something more suitable - A Twin Otter perhaps to get your passengers and cargo to their final destination - the island of Bora Bora!
