Briefing

Leg 2 — LKCV → EDDC

Chomutov → Dresden Cross into Germany, entering what was once the German Democratic Republic (East Germany). Dresden’s skyline tells two stories — destruction from WWII, and rebuilding under Soviet influence.

Cold War Context:

Dresden sat firmly within the Eastern Bloc, where aviation was closely tied to military and state operations. The further north you fly, the more symbolic the terrain becomes. Berlin lies ahead — a city that wasn’t just divided by ideology, but physically split by concrete, barbed wire, and armed patrols. The skies above it were just as controlled as the streets below.

Criteria

Depart from LKCV, fly to and land at EDDC (95 NM).

You will be awarded AB 499 for completing this achievement.
