Poveglia Island, Italy

Closed to the public for decades, Poveglia served as a quarantine station during plague outbreaks and later housed a psychiatric hospital. Legends claim thousands died here, leading to countless reports of ghostly voices, bells ringing without cause, and shadow figures among the crumbling buildings. It is widely considered one of Europe's most infamous abandoned islands.

Criteria

Depart from LGAV, fly to and land at LIPZ (690 NM).
