Remarks: | Flight 20 of the UK coastal tour - up to 20 flights already woah! This one was going to be a bit tricky so I studied the charts intently over my burger lunch. I was going to need to do a zone transit at Prestwick, and then a standard join to land at Glasgow. Thankfully Glasgow wasn't busy considering the CTP event currently raking place. I started out requesting my basic service from the lovely chap in charge of Scottish TMA. I was expecting a "pass your message" but he got my old squawk code back. This made things less complicated as he clearly was happy that he still had my details from the earlier flight from Carlisle. With instructions in hand I easily crossed Prestwick and was allowed to do a straight in approach to Glasgow. It felt a bit weird landing such a small plane on to a runway that can accommodate A380s - possibly the largest runway I've landed this plane on. There wasn't much hand flying on this one - I literally followed autopilot all the way with the exception of takeoff and landing. Another delightful flight and again lovely to listen in to all the CTP traffic going on. |
