| Remarks: | Flight 19 of the UK coastal tour - to Castle Kennedy Airfield. Thanks to Cross The Pond all of the ATC was online. This time I took off from Carlisle and was straight into Scottish TMA and the lovely chap gave me a basic service so I could bimble along the coast. The scenery was somewhat stunning en route to Castle Kennedy Airfield - a tiny little place with cracked and ageing runways. I put her down and went to the nearby burger van for lunch. Not much to report on this flight other than the coast was gorgeous and I enjoyed listening to the ATC and all the big jets going overhead. Edit: I've just noticed that my start from Carlisle was not detected - weird - LRM must have been off with the fairies. Its a bit annoying as this has left a gap on the map. I'm going to have to go back and do a random flight again between the two the join the dots. Bother... |
