Welcome to BuffaloX Airways — Northern Flying, The Buffalo Way
BuffaloX Airways is a fictional virtual airline inspired by the legendary bush-flying operations of Canada’s North and the spirit of Ice Pilots NWT. Based at Yellowknife, Northwest Territories (CYZF), we operate a rugged network connecting remote communities, northern settlements, mining operations and major supply centres across Canada and the northern United States.
Our fleet is built around three classic aircraft:
Our network is centred on the great northern destinations of Yellowknife, Hay River, Délı̨nę, Norman Wells, Fort Good Hope, Tulita, Inuvik, Cambridge Bay, Kugluktuk, Rankin Inlet, Resolute Bay and Ulukhaktok, with longer-range operations to Edmonton, Whitehorse, Red Deer and Oshkosh.
At BuffaloX, we’re not interested in simply flying from A to B. Every flight is a mission. Whether it’s a DC-3 carrying supplies into a remote community, a C-46 hauling freight along the Mackenzie Valley, or a DC-6B moving heavy equipment across the Arctic, our pilots operate aircraft that demand skill, care and respect.
Our Philosophy
Fly it. Fix it. Keep it moving.
BuffaloX Airways embraces the character of classic northern aviation: challenging weather, remote airfields, gravel and ice strips, heavy loads and aircraft with plenty of history.
We encourage our pilots to explore the network, build flight hours and experience the unique challenges of northern operations. From short bush hops to multi-leg freight runs and long-range DC-6 missions, there is always another load waiting.
No fancy terminals. No unnecessary frills. Just aircraft, cargo and somewhere that needs it.
Welcome aboard BuffaloX Airways.
Keep the props turning. Keep the cargo moving
We also have a Team on Volanta please message for addition to the team if you use the network .
