Leg 4 of our 2019 company trip to the F1 Grand Prix in Monza brought us from Munich (EDDM) to Milan Malpensa (LIMC). After a few hours of waiting at Munich Airport—where the atmosphere was thankfully relaxed—we started spotting more familiar faces. One by one, colleagues from other rerouted groups began arriving at the same gate, all converging for the final leg of the journey.

Our flight with Alitalia was set to take us straight into the heart of Italy, and the excitement was building. This was it—the last flight before we could finally experience the roar, color, and chaos of the F1 circus. The anticipation was almost tangible.

Flying into Milan, knowing we were just a short ride from Monza, gave us that final boost of energy. Despite all the delays and detours, we were nearly there—and ready to soak in the sights, sounds, and speed of Formula 1. Well, we still missed out on the qualifyings, but after a few drinks at the reastaurant, that evening, all was quickly forgotten.
