Airliners aren’t really equipped for soft field landings, unless a voyager pilot is at the controls. See, voyager pilots can butter anything anywhere, as demonstrated on May 24, 1988 where a voyager pilot landed a 737 on a grass levee, not only saving the passengers, but saving the aircraft to the point that it was kept in service. He did this with only one eye. Beat that.
This voyager flight is often mischaracterized as “TACA Flight 110” by mainstream media. Relive this flight, keep only one eye open for full immersion.
