St. Lawrence Divide 28 CDA5 to CYJT

This is a virtual airline achievement created by Fliggity Air.

Built by the USAF and operated as Ernest Harmon Air Force Base from 1941 to 1966, the Stephenville Airport is now operated by the local airport authority and was designated as an alternate in the Trans Oceanic Plane Stop (TOPS) program. The facility is also one of five Canadian airports suitable as an emergency landing site for the Space Shuttle. As part of Operation Yellow Ribbon, the Stephenville Airport hosted eight civilian airliners that made unscheduled landings following the closing of North American airspace in the wake of the terrorist attacks on New York City and Washington DC.

Criteria

Depart from CDA5, fly to and land at CYJT (56 NM).

  • Pilatus PC-6 Porter (PC6P)
  • VAN'S RV-10 (RV10)
  • VAN'S RV-14 (RV14)
  • Cirrus SR-22 (SR22)
  • Camair 480 Twin Navion (TNAV)
