A masterpiece of Nazi-era architecture and the beating heart of the Berlin Airlift, Tempelhof was more than an airport—it was a symbol. After WWII, it became a lifeline to West Berlin, with aircraft landing every 90 seconds during the Soviet blockade. Its compact runways and monumental terminal design made it a favourite of aviation romantics. Closed in 2008 and now a public park, its airfield layout remains visible—waiting for a final salute.
Aircraft Suitability: Best for bizjets, turboprops, or light airliners with conservative payloads. Extra Challenge: Land using only visual reference—no instruments—and remain under 110 KIAS on approach.
Notes: EDDI is not present by default in MSFS 2020 or 2024. It requires an addon from Flightsim.to (EDDI Addon) to be operational.
