It started like any other FSWeekend—flight simulators buzzing, aviation nerds geeking out, and Firefly Air’s finest pilots, Two to One Murph, Jibo Ireland, and Amusing Fan, causing absolute chaos.
Their trouble began when they discovered a fully functional flight simulator in a demo area. “Lads, this thing’s got real ATC comms,” Murph said with a mischievous grin. “We could technically file a flight plan…”
Jibo, ever the instigator, cracked his knuckles. “Let’s see what happens when we request priority departure—maybe we can divert some actual traffic.”
Amusing Fan, always up for a laugh, leaned into the mic. “Maastricht Approach, Firefly 420 requesting immediate takeoff clearance… for research purposes.”
The sim operators didn’t realize what was happening until it was too late. Within minutes, they had rerouted a KLM 737, confused a Lufthansa A320, and somehow got the Dutch Coast Guard to scramble a helicopter.
Security found them rolling on the floor laughing, just as Amsterdam Schiphol ATC threatened to call the authorities. That’s when things really went south.
A One-Way Ticket to The Hague The trio were swiftly detained, handcuffed, and placed in a holding area while FSWeekend organizers debated their fate. “Gentlemen,” an event official sighed, rubbing his temples, “you have embarrassed Firefly Air, the flight sim community, and, frankly, Dutch aviation as a whole.”
Murph tried to look innocent. “We were just testing emergency procedures!”
“Yeah, you should be thanking us,” Jibo added.
The official wasn’t amused. “You’re being deported.”
“Wait, what?” aMUSING Fan blinked. “We’re not even from here.”
“Exactly,” the official said. “Your repatriation flight leaves in an hour.”
And so, escorted by security, the Firefly Three were marched onto a Firefly Air aircraft back home—handcuffed, humiliated, but still laughing.
As the plane taxied, Murph leaned over to the flight attendant. “Hey, uh… mind if we have a go in the cockpit?”
She glared. “Sir, please.”
And that, dear pilots, is how Two to One Murph, Jibo Ireland, and Amusing Fan became the first virtual airline crew to be officially deported from FSWeekend.
