A Seasonal Journey Along the French Coast Leg 11 LFML to LFMN (88nm)

This is a virtual airline achievement created by FireFly Air.

The morning mist was just lifting from the Channel as I departed Atterri airfield (LFAT) in Normandy. My trusty Cessna 172 lifted gracefully into the crisp morning air, beginning what would become an unforgettable journey around the French coast.

Saint-Brieuc (LFRC) welcomed me with its dramatic coastline, where I stopped briefly to fuel up and sample a perfect butter croissant. The weather held beautifully as I continued to Ouessant (LFEC), that remote sentinel of an island marking France's westernmost point. The approach there was challenging but exhilarating, with Atlantic winds testing my skills.

Quimper (LFEQ) offered a pleasant lunch stop, its medieval cathedral spires visible from miles away. La Rochelle (LFBH) came next, where I spent the night watching sailboats dance in the old harbor. The following morning brought me to Bordeaux-Mérignac (LFBD), its vast vineyards stretching to the horizon like a patchwork quilt.

Biarritz (LFBZ) marked my turn at the Spanish border, the Pyrenees looming majestically to the south. At Carcassonne (LFCG), I couldn't resist an overnight stay to explore the fairy-tale medieval citadel. Perpignan (LFMP) and Montpellier (LFMT) offered quick tech stops, the Mediterranean now a constant companion of brilliant blue.

Marseille-Provence (LFML) provided a dramatic penultimate landing, the limestone cliffs of the Calanques glowing golden in the late afternoon sun. Finally, Nice-Côte d'Azur (LFMN) welcomed me with its legendary approach over the azure waters, palm trees swaying in the evening breeze. Ten days, ten airports, and countless memories of France's stunning coastline from above.

The story is based on a C172 but use whatever takes your fancy.

Criteria

Depart from LFML, fly to and land at LFMN (89 NM). Your landing rate must not exceed 700 f/m.

You will be awarded XP 200 for completing this achievement.
