BC Canada - Fly medical supplies and support staff from Mackenzie (CYZY) to Tsay Keh (CBN9).
The Rocky Mountain Trench is going to be your easy guide as you fly above the cold clear waters of Williston Lake to the north. You will fly much needed medical supplies to the First Nations people living in Tsay Keh Dene. The Kwadacha Tsek'ene and Tsek'ene were displaced by the building of the W.A.C. Bennett Dam (completed 1968) and Williston Reservoir, which in turn flooded their native land, hunting grounds and the small rivers and streams they had used to travel. This was adversity that they overcame, but the beauty and wonder that we admire now, came from a concrete beast 100 miles to the south east.
The Tsay Keh airstrip is long and wide, but beware the more picturesque landing on 31 due to the false front and often snow covered surface that can play tricks on even the best of pilots... but it's worth the risk!
Note: Time of year has a huge effect on the experience here, especially in MSFS 2024. Winter will be a sheet of white with snow capped pines and spruces slightly yellowed by the extended cold, while summer will be a blast of deep green, dark blue/black water and gray mountains. Both are fantastic.
