The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil's Triangle is an urban legend centered loosely defined region in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean where a number of aircraft and ships are said to have disappeared under mysterious circumstances.
Let's not let that stop us though - for this achievement you must "brave the triangle" and fly an aircraft of your choice to the main (International) airport of Bermuda in the North Atlantic Ocean.
L.F Wade International Airport (TXKF), formally named "Bermuda International Airport" is the sole airport serving the British overseas territory of Bermuda, it is located nearly 7 miles norheast of Bermuda's capital, Hamilton.
Bermuda is an archipelago consisting of 181 islands, although the most significant islands are connected by bridges and appear to form one landmass. It has a land area of 54 square kilometres (21 square miles). Bermuda has a subtropical climate, with mild winters and summers. Its climate also exhibits oceanic features similar to other coastal areas in the Northern Hemisphere, with warm, moist air from the ocean ensuring relatively high humidity and stabilising temperature. Bermuda lies in Hurricane Alley and thus is prone to severe weather; however, it receives some protection from a coral reef and its position at the north of the belt, which limits the direction and severity of approaching storms.
The airport itself is hundreds of miles away from the next nearest airport and consists of a single passenger terminal, one cargo terminal, eight aircraft stands and can support all sizes of aircraft up to and including the Airbus A380.
At the time of writing there are 8 passenger carriers that operate flights to and from this airport including:
There is also a single Cargo airline operating to and from this airport too, this being CargoJet that operate services to and from New York–JFK and Newark.
